Lead Attorney
Thomas H. Straub, Esq.
Founder & Managing Attorney
Thomas has been working in the field of personal injury since he was 18 years old — serving papers, working as a paralegal, and then, upon his admission to practice, as an attorney fighting for injured accident victims. He also spent time working for insurance companies, giving him a unique two-sided perspective that allows him to understand how to build a case and anticipate how the opposition will try to tear it down.
A 2016 graduate of St. John's University School of Law, Thomas is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the District of Columbia, and is federally admitted in both the Southern and Eastern District Courts of New York.
During law school, Thomas studied immigration law and devoted significant time to helping families navigate the green card and citizenship process — guiding them through applications, interviews, and the often-overwhelming U.S. immigration system. That experience deepened his commitment to serving people who face barriers to accessing legal services. He also brings that same commitment to his uncontested divorce practice, helping individuals and couples who might otherwise struggle to afford representation to dissolve their marriages amicably and move forward with their lives.
Thomas practices in all areas of personal injury and is always reachable by phone, text, and email. He fights relentlessly for accident victims to get them the compensation they deserve.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a consultation cost?
Nothing. Your initial consultation is completely free with no obligation. We will review the facts of your case, explain your legal options, and give you an honest assessment of what to expect — all at no charge.
What does "no fee unless we win" mean, and how are other services billed?
For personal injury cases, we work on a contingency fee basis. That means you pay zero legal fees upfront — we only get paid if we successfully recover compensation for you. If we don't win, you owe us nothing. Our divorce and immigration services are handled differently: we offer affordable flat fees so you know exactly what you'll pay from the start, with no surprises.
How long do I have to file a personal injury claim in New York?
In New York, the statute of limitations for most personal injury cases is three years from the date of the accident. However, claims against government entities have much shorter deadlines — sometimes as little as 90 days to file a notice of claim. Contact us as soon as possible to protect your rights.
What types of compensation can I recover?
You may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses (past and future), lost wages, loss of earning capacity, pain and suffering, emotional distress, and loss of enjoyment of life. In wrongful death cases, families may also recover for funeral expenses and loss of financial support.
Do I need to go to court?
Most personal injury cases settle before trial. However, we prepare every case as though it will go to court. If the insurance company refuses to offer a fair settlement, we are fully prepared to take your case to trial and fight for the compensation you deserve.
What should I do immediately after an accident?
Seek medical attention immediately, even if your injuries seem minor. Call the police and file a report. Document the scene with photos if you can. Get contact information from witnesses. Do not admit fault or give a recorded statement to the other party's insurance company. Then call or text us at (212) 655-9904 for a free case review.
